The Stargazer’s Cabin is made from a simple frame of timber with layers of laser-cut marine grade plywood and PVC cladding in between, where low energy LED lights are fitted. Intricate perforations on the exterior match the constellations of the night sky, allowing the lights to shine in formation. The pitched roof is similarly structured with a single overhead light to illuminate its designs.

The interior consists of varnished plywood of a softer, lighter color to create an expansive sense of space. The designers suggest the cabin would be a perfect fit for a beachside cafe and plan on equipping the interior with a capacity for storage units, a sink, and a fold-out table. Later this year passersby on Eastbourne beaches can find the unique hut, its bright presence a tribute to the celestial beauty above us. by Katie Medlock. Via George King Architects.
